i raise Banty chickens as pets ..even in the summer warm weather they do not like to get wet from the rain or wind. bantys will lay eggs on the soil if they find a erea where they can stay dry out of the wind they seem to stay comfortable in weather down to just above frezzing... when it gets real cold i will put a heat lamp where it will shine on the roost... they take full advantage of this light until it warms up through the day time hours
