EUGENE, Ore. - Kendra Daniels has been a gymnast at Gymnastics Northwest since she was 5 years old.
Thirteen years later, Daniels recently accomplished one of the highest feats a prep gymnast can achieve: a level 10 state champion in beam, floor, vault and all around.
And although gymnastics may sometimes focus on the individual, Daniels said her journey has been a team effort.
Her mom has been her biggest supporter.
She said coach Julia Eagen has been there every step of the way.
Daniels said she tries to be a role model for younger aspiring gymnasts.
In terms of her future, Daniels is pursuing a walk-on possibility at a school in Alaska.
