Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Reds signed outfielder Chris Heisey and pitcher Alfredo Simon on Thursday, avoiding arbitration.
Financial terms of the one-year deals were not disclosed.
Heisey hit .265 with seven home runs, 31 RBI and 44 runs scored over 120 games last season, while Simon went 3-2 with a 2.66 ERA over 61 innings pitched a year ago.
