Cody Ross had two hits, walked and scored a pair of runs for the Red Sox, who got four innings out of Jon Lester. The left-hander gave up a run on one hit but walked four.
Adam Jones singled home Robert Andino in the first inning, accounting for Baltimore's lone run.
Orioles starter Dana Eveland surrendered three runs -- one earned -- on six hits in two frames.
