Scottsdale, AZ (Sports Network) - Chris Nelson scored the go-ahead run from third on a pick-off throw to cap a four-run sixth inning, boosting the Rockies to a 9-8 spring training win over Seattle.
Jonathan Herrera drove in three runs for Colorado, which will finish its exhibition schedule Wednesday against the Mariners before opening the regular season Friday at Houston.
Juan Nicasio started for the Rockies and allowed eight hits and four runs over 4 1/3 innings.
Carlos Peguero went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI for Seattle, which had 16 hits, but committed five errors. Erasmo Ramirez got the start and gave up four hits and a pair of runs over three frames.
