Giants claim IF Abreu off waivers

San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - The San Francisco Giants claimed infielder Tony Abreu off waivers from the Kansas City Royals on Monday.

Over 22 games last season, Abreu batted .257 with 15 RBI and five runs scored.

Abreu has batted .252 with 46 RBI and 40 runs scored over 168 career games with the Dodgers, Diamondbacks and Royals.
