Oregon looking at special season . . . in 2013

Sitting in a half empty Autzen Stadium Saturday night as the last minutes rolled off the clock, fans couldn’t help but look at this Oregon team and think of what could be. A freshman quarterback who showed poise well beyond his 19 years. A once-in-a-generation jitterbug in De’Anthony Thomas that very well could end up in New York come December, and a deep and talented defense that smothers opponents with unrelenting force. I, however, couldn’t help but think that this season, while promising, was leading to something bigger . . . 2013.
