Oregon bumps Florida St. for No. 2 BCS slot

EUGENE, Ore. -- The computer and human polls didn't see eye-to-eye in the first week of the BCS Standings as Oregon, who was slated 2nd in the AP and coaches poll, opened at number three. After their performance against the UCLA Bruins Saturday, Oregon moved up a spot in the BCS, knocking Florida State to number three.

Two-time defending national champion Alabama remains ahead in the number one slot.

Stanford moves to fifth behind Ohio State after their visit to Corvallis against the Beavers, while UCLA falls to number 20. Formerly unranked Notre Dame took Oregon State’s former spot at 25.
