Eugene (KMTR) - From roadway to waterway, a car plunges into the Delta Ponds in Eugene.
It happened at about 10:45 Thursday morning on Goodpasture Island Road.
Police say the female driver from Washington glanced down to look at a map and missed the turn.
Her car traveled over the curb, and came to rest with the front portion of the car under water.
Police say the driver was able to get herself out of the car, and will not be issued a citation.
A boom was placed around the vehicle to soak up any fuel that may have leaked.
