Woman dies after being hit by car near Corvallis airport

CORVALLIS, Ore. (KMTR) -- A woman is dead after being hit by a car near Corvallis on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened just before one o'clock in the 31000 block of Fern Road, west of the Corvallis airport.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) says a female driver in a silver Honda Civic was heading southbound when the female victim was hit.

The victim died at the scene.

No names or ages have been released yet.

BCSO deputies are still investigating the crash.
