EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Eugene police are investigating an assault on a Lane Transit District bus driver. The incident was caught on camera.
The assault happened just after 7:00 PM on October 4.
The driver told officers that a female passenger entered the bus near Barger and Golden Gardens and sat in a seat near the rear of the bus, placing her feet on the seat in front of her.
When the driver informed the suspect that she could not do that, she reportedly became belligerent with the driver, who pulled the bus over to the side of the road and instructed the suspect she needed to leave the bus.
Prior to exiting the bus the female suspect struck the bus driver, causing minor injuries.
The suspect is a white female approximately 19 to 20 years old. She is about 5' 7" tall with a slim build and blonde shoulder-length hair.
