Springfield (KMTR) - The Lane County Sheriff's Office has identified a man found dead inside his Glenwood residence, and they say the man was not the victim of a crime.

A caretaker found the body of 49 year old Dermot Brian Holmes Thursday morning in his South Brooklyn Street duplex.

Investigators called the death suspicious, but after further investigation they say there is no indication that this is a criminal death investigation.

The cause and manner of death have not yet been determined but remain under investigation by the Medical Examiner's Office.

Deputies said Holmes had been dead for about a day.
