EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- A jury has ruled in favor of the Harrisburg school district in a lawsuit filed against the district claiming it did nothing to protect a young student from bullying.

The boy has Tourette's syndrome.

The boy's mother testified on Tuesday that her son was shoved, slapped and taunted with anti-gay slurs from others who perceived his neurological disorder as homosexual.

The boy was pulled out of a Harrisburg middle school in 2010 during his seventh grade year and moved out of state.

The family was seeking $250,000 in damages.
