Behind the scenes: Rescue teams search, community comforts landslide victims
DARRINGTON, Wash. - Support for victims of the SR-530 landslide has come pouring in from all over the state, as rescue teams and volunteers scour the area for survivors, and comfort those affected. Snohomish County officials have asked that only registered volunteers enter the area. No more volunteers are needed to search, so please stay away from the area. Anyone looking to help victims is asked to make monetary donations to RedCross.org. While the search continues, the Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue team is also in need of donations, as their government funding was cut last year: http://helicopterrescue.org/.
