Eugene (KMTR) - October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Womenspace is also celebrating its 35th anniversary.  To commemorate both, the group is putting on 35 events in the month of October.  Organizers already have about 25 in the books, but they're looking for a few more ideas to reach their goal.  Several restaurants are hosting fundraisers, church groups are working on garage sales and bake sales, and some are working on community workshops.  Womenspace reps encourage residents to contact them with any ideas for October celebrations.
