DORENA, Ore. (KMTR) -- A 69-year-old woman is dead tonight after crashing her SUV into a tree near Dorena. State police are talking with witnesses to try and figure out what happened.
The accident happened Thursday night as the driver took a corner on Shoreview Drive. Troopers say it doesn’t look like she tried to brake or turn before crashing and she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt. When medics arrived on scene, she was already dead.
Troopers are waiting on an autopsy but think it will confirm that she had a medical problem that affected her ability to drive.
