SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (KMTR) -- Residents in the Willamalane Park and Recreation district are being asked to approve a big bond this November. If passed, the bond would raise $20 million over twenty years to fund some new projects and preserve natural areas.

Willamalane representatives say the average assessed home value in the district is about $124,000. At that value, a homeowner would pay around $42 a year - or $3.50 a month - to fund the bond.
