Eugene (KMTR) - A new development in a proposed deal that could bring new jobs to Eugene.
Business representatives from a South Korean company were in town Friday negotiating to buy the Hynix plant in west Eugene. Uni-Chem wants to turn the former computer chip facility into a solar technology manufacturing plant.
The business delegation from Uni-Chem also met with city leaders.
No word on how the negotiations are going. But so far, a deal has not been finalized.
