GLIDE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Two armed suspects on the run forced Glide School District officials to keep some students at school Monday afternoon. Numerous police officers and sheriff's deputies were in the area searching for a pair of armed home invasion suspects in the nearby woods.
Douglas County deputies say they eventually caught the two men who had broken into a home in Glide, handcuffed a man and then beat him up. Investigators say the men were armed with knives when they invaded a home on Lee Lane Monday afternoon. The victim's wife was able to escape and call for help.
Deputies said they caught Charles Endicott, 31, right away and later in the evening, 28-year-old Russell Finnell called 911 and gave himself up. Both men were taken to the Douglas County Jail.
