UPDATE: Police identify woman killed in Highway 34 crash
Corvallis (KMTR) - New information about a deadly crash near Corvallis.
We're learning more about the people involved, including the victim who was a young mother.
The wreck happened Wednesday on Highway 34, about two miles east of Corvallis near Northeast Colorado Lake Drive.
According to Oregon State Police, two cars were headed east, side by side. They say 35-year-old Valorie Carrigan tried to change lanes in front of a red SUV, clipped it, and sent the red SUV into oncoming traffic where it hit a Jeep head on.
22 Year old Chelsea Duffy of Myrtle Creek died at the scene. The Jeep's driver, Larry F. Dodge, 52, of Shedd, was taken to a Corvallis hospital with serious injuries.
Friends say Duffy was smiley, fun and loved her family more than the world.
She leaves behind a baby girl.
