NORTH BEND, Ore. (KMTR) –- A man wanted in connection with a homicide investigation in North Bend has turned himself in to police. At about 2:30 PM on Wednesday, July 18th, Ronald Wayne Ambill surrendered to police at the Lincoln County jail in Newport.
Police say Ambill is a person of interest in the death of 60-year-old David Barker.
The Coos County District Attorney says a maid at the Itty Bitty Inn in North Bend found Barker dead Tuesday morning. He checked into the motel the night before. Investigators are not saying how he was killed.
North Bend officers are now in the process of bringing Ambill back to Coos County.
