UPDATE: FBI arrests 'Tall Man' bank robbery suspect

PORTLAND, Ore. (KMTR) - UPDATE: FBI Special Agents arrested Chet Evans, age 25, near the intersection of NE Interstate and NE Sumner in Portland at approximately 10:45 AM on Thursday. The arrest was without incident.

Investigators charged Evans with the robbery of the Key Bank branch located at 1380 Coburg Road in Eugene on Monday, March 18. He is also a suspect in five other robberies in the Lane County area over a five week period.

Evans will be lodged at the Lane County Jail later today pending his initial appearance before a federal magistrate on Friday, March 22.

EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) - Chet Evans is a suspect in several recent bank robberies.

The FBI has identified the 'Tall Man' bank bandit and they need your help finding him.

An FBI spokesperson says 24-year-old Chet Evans is suspected in six recent robberies in the Eugene and Springfield area.

The most recent robbery happened Monday at the Key Bank on Coburg Road.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 if you can help locate Evans.

Evans' last known address is in Eugene, but he has ties to Medford, Ashland, Portland and Lake Oswego.

I dont know about previous addresses but it looks like his new address is going to be on State Street in Salem.
