Eugene (KMTR) - A court hearing for a Eugene couple charged with aggravated murder in the death of their teen daughter.
Prosecutors believe 15-year-old Jeanette Maples died from abuse and neglect.
Tuesday’s hearing is to see if two other children should be removed from the custody of the parents, Angela and Richard McAnulty.
The State Department of Human Services says the McAnultys are in the child welfare system of at least one other state. The out-of-state reports include drug abuse, physical abuse and neglect.
Here in Oregon, DHS received four reports prior the teen’s death. A department spokesman called the family “high risk”.
DHS will make its case for removing the custody of the other two children in the home.
