EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- More than 50 University of Oregon student athletes submitted original artwork for a new exhibit at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art on UO's campus. About half the pieces are from football players; track, golf, and lots of other sports are also represented. Some of the students are seasoned pros, while others have never tried their hand at art before.
The exhibit opens May 30th with a free reception from 5 to 7 PM and will stay on display through the summer. Make sure to bring your cell phone, because the exhibit is interactive. Next to every piece there's a phone number to dial to hear each student explain the inspiration behind their work.
