I read that only 7 million of the school budget even came from public funds. That leaves a lot of money that it uses in its budget because the University of Oregon strives for "excellence". Beating it back to the mediocre will require the state to pay a lot more than 7 million for the care and keeping of a fine school because those funds will dry up. I can think of many things the state will then do to the campus because there isn't enough funding. Chalk up "Dr. No" for backing another questionable decision.

This politically appointed board has no credential to make this kind of decision. Most of the board members have limited academic experiences and from mediocre schools. Sad and laughable. Only in Oregon, or banana republic. What a crime. Oregon people is going to pay dearly for this for a long time.
