UO Associated Students expand bike sharing program

More students and staff will soon be able to go “green” at the University of Oregon. The Associated Students of the U of O is using about $200,000 to expand its Bike Share program.

Ok, let me see if I get this mentality. Dont buy your own bike, (with your own money) because it might get stolen. Rent a bike, (payed for by taxpayer dollars) and that way when it gets lost, stolen or vandilized or the program goes broke because it cost more to run then the revenue it brings in, (is unsustainable) you wont be out anything. Great, another feel good example of "Go Green or Go Broke, which ever comes first"!
