Eugene (KMTR) - Oregon State Police said one lane of Interstate 5 would be closed for several hours following the crash of a truck and trailer rig south of Eugene Sunday morning.
According to investigating troopsrs, a semi-truck driven by Anil Chopra, 46, of Puyallup, Wash. jackknifed and overturned near the Highway 58 interchange. The truck's fuel tanks began leaking diesel.
The truck was loaded with about 44,000 pounds of metal.
Chopra was not hurt in the accident. He was cited for a log book violation.
Oregon Department of Transportation said northbound I-5 would be restricted to one lane until about 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
