What happened to my (neighborhood) store and why does the city now own the property? One can only guess what kind of gov't shenanigans are going on here. Did they seize it? Sounds kind of fishy to me. That store was a landmark and has been there forever.

I love that neighbors have stepped up and that Mayor Piercy helped with linking these groups together. However, you guys need to find some decent writers. This article has more spelling mistakes than most 3rd graders would have in an English class, a few of the sentences don't make sense, and a number of the sentence structuring is wrong. For those of us who are type A, or who value good spelling, please help us stay sane!

If it wasn't so close to Roosevelt, it would have made a great place for a community garden.
