EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) – A Eugene non-profit is left with a big mess after thieves break in, stealing wire, pipe and electrical boxes.

St. Vincent de Paul thinks the theft happened at the Lindholm Center sometime Friday night or Saturday morning.

The organization says four air conditioners and a freezer were disabled. The food inside the freezer was saved and taken to Food for Lane County for safe keeping.

A maintenance van at the St. Vinnie's car lot, a few blocks down the road, was also hit.

Someone took the battery out and stole some tools.

Repair costs at both locations are estimated in the thousands.

Probably the same group that stole the entire out door heat pump from Allison Park Church on Echo hollow road. Wonder if Eugene's finest will ever catch them. Of course if they do, they won't stay in jail long if they go to county lock-up.
