EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) --  Benjamin Maude was about to start a food cart business, but he says someone stole the cart Sunday night. Now he needs help tracking it down.

The basis of the business was to be a bicycle Maude bought last week. It has two large wok burners, a propane tank and an umbrella. It was stolen from his apartment complex near Willamette Street and 18th Avenue He was in the process of fixing the bike, so whoever took it had to push it out of the backyard.

Maude wanted to start the business to provide for his family. He says his 9-month-old son was one of his big motivations. “You know, the idea of working for myself and having a flexible schedule so that I can stay home with him when my wife's at work. Things like that.”

The bike and the equipment on it cost more than $700.

Anyone who may know the whereabouts of the bicycle is urged to call Eugene Police at 541 682-8888.
