EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- The retaining wall that collapsed into the Amazon Creek is good to go and the bike path is back open.

The 28 foot slab of concrete fell into the water Saturday.

The wall is sixty years old and the city says last week's heavy rain was too much.

Tuesday crews cleared out some of the mud and dropped in concrete blocks, a temporary solution for the winter.

The collapse was unexpected, but the city was already looking into the wall's integrity and had hired a consulting firm.
