COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Several teenagers are being credited with helping save a Cottage Grove man from a burning trailer Tuesday morning.

Mark Jacklich is in critical condition at a burn center in Portland.

High school senior Alli Simons said she was picking her cousin up for school when she noticed dark smoke coming from a driveway down the street.

When the teens went to check it out, they found a trailer engulfed in flames. Jacklich was lying on the ground nearby. Without thinking twice, the teen ran to help move him away from the flames.

Jacklich has serious burns on his face, throat and hands.

Investigators are looking into what triggered the fire; firefighters think Jacklich may have been sleeping inside the trailer when it started.
