Springfield (KMTR) - A Springfield woman will formally announce Monday morning that she is a candidate for Lane County commissioner.
Pat Riggs-Henson says she will run for the seat representing Springfield, which is currently held by Bill Dwyer.
Riggs-Henson, a long-time resident of Springfield says she has been helping community members get access to education and training opportunities for 30 years. She has been an elected member of the Lane Community College Board of Education a total of 14 years and has been a career advisor for displaced workers and students at Lane County’s Lane Workforce Partnership.
Riggs-Henson says she has also served on study groups for the City of Springfield, the United Way Board and the Lane Council of Governments.
