Eugene, Ore. (KMTR) - A Springfield man will spend the next six months in jail after admitting he faked having cancer.

28 year old Charles Embleton scammed a church and a pizza parlor into holding benefits for him.

He pleaded guilty to all charges.

One victim, who showed up to court Monday, said he was surprised by the short sentence but is glad the case is closed.

Police say Embleton probably raised more than 10-thousand dollars.

The law of attraction will take care of this guy. The law of attraction is basically this, when we think about a thing long enough that thing will eventually become true. We can use this to our benefit by thinking positive thoughts. In this case, he imagined having cancer for so long that he will no doubt get cancer in the near future. Poor guy doesn't even realize just how bad he messed up. Noone will be there to help him when he really has cancer because he cried wolf already.
