Albany (KMTR) - A single-engine plane has gone down in Albany, north of Clover Ridge School.  According to Jefferson Fire and Rescue the pilot suffered a minor injury and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The pilot, Shane Gorman, was forced to land his plane after the engine cut out.  Gorman was able to land the airplane in a field, but the grass caught the wheels of the plane and flipped it.

Gorman had taken off from Albany and was headed to Salem when the engine problems started.

The FAA and NTSB are now investigating.

Lucky man, just like the airplane crash at McKenzie airstrip on Sunday. The pilot walked away after a bad landing. ( I made the crash discovery)
