Shots fired in South Eugene, one dead, one in custody

Eugene (KMTR) A burglary reported in the 3300 block of Stoney Ridge Road in South Eugene had neighbors calling 911 after hearing gun shots.

One person, a suspect in the burglary was found dead inside the home. Another suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot. That suspect was found in the vicinity of the home by a K-9 unit.

 The 9-1-1 call came in at 3 p.m. Police and Violent Crimes Unit detectives responded to the scene.

I live here on Stoney Ridge. Somebody commented 'good..blah blah'. As a neighbor who was in the area early-on....MAY I RECOMMEND you get all the facts before being glad somebody dead. Only a Nutjob would be happy someone else is dead. That or Wells Fargo who criminalized me for doing my job (www.osunrise.com). Truth, as I found out after 53 years is backwards of what I was told all that time.
