EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Santa Claus made a big appearance in Eugene today, returning from the North Pole in style.
The Christmas legend made his appearance at the Valley River Center (VRC) in Eugene, flying in to the mall’s parking lot in a helicopter.
Mr. Claus put together the event for kids and parents on Saturday, November 17, 2012 for his annual Santa Arrival Breakfast. Parents enjoyed free coffee, kids got a free breakfast while NewsSource 16’s very own Matt Templeman hosted the event.
All of the proceeds for the event raise money for Food for Lane County.
Santa is now setup at the VRC, taking Christmas wishes and pictures with kids nearly every day through Christmas. The king of presents, Santa will be at the VRC from 10 AM until 8 PM Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, he’ll be at his post from noon until 7 PM.
