Well I guess anyone who owns a Jeep Liberty needs to get rid of it too right? For the Indians to complain about schools using pictures and names of Indians is ridiculous. Indians are a part of American history and we are Americans. What if as a white American I name my kid an Indian name just because I thought it was a nice name. Are Indians going to throw a fit and make me change the babies name? This country, mainly the government, needs to be color blind. There is no race, there is no color, just American. The fact that my tax dollars are now going towards changing a stupid picture on gym floor offends me. Most of the Indians are not even going to be affected by these changes seeing how they don't pay taxes like every other REAL American.

Since I bothered to register, I might as well snipe back! What if the school on the reservation had the mascot "The Hicks" and the logo was a picture of a stereotypical hick with missing teeth, and hay in his hair. You might get kind of pissed off about that, yeah? I don't think Roseburg's current mascot falls into that category, but others have. It's not polite. We have a history of being insensitive to the point of view of the minorities of this nation. Say what you want about illegal aliens, but the rest are here, and are just as American as anyone else. The Native Americans are indeed more American than you are. We need to be having a conversation, not slinging insults around at each other.

My Great Grandfather watched as his friends died in WW I... My Grandfather watched as his friends died in WW II and Korea ... My parents generation watched as their friends died in Vietnam ... My generation watched our friends die in the Middle East... None of them died for the Mexican Flag, or any other flag. Everyone died for the U.S. flag... In Texas , a student raised a Mexican flag on a sch...ool flag pole; another student took it down. Guess who was expelled? The kid who took it down. Kids in high school in California were sent home last year on Cinco de Mayo because they wore T-shirts with the American flag printed on them. Enough is enough. This message needs to be viewed by every American, and every American needs to stand up for America. We've bent over to appease the America-haters long enough... I'm taking a stand... I'm standing up because the hundreds of thousands who died fighting in wars for this country, and for the U.S. flag can't stand up... And shame on anyone who tries to make this a racist message... I agree it being a bunch of bs. If they think it's fair to schools with indian names in them than they should look at other schools that have other cultures. The "Irish", the "Trojans", the "Loggers", the "Senators"...okay the list goes on and on. It just doesn't seem right to just cut away from one grouping of people and leave the others. Isn't that a sort of prejudice?

What a bunch of BS..why dont they take the casinos and just only let native indians in there, they would be no more casinos...get over it.
