EUGENE (KMTR) – The graffiti on the I-5 highway’s sound wall stating “Ron Paul 2012” has returned.

More than a month ago, someone sprayed the graffiti onto the wall. ODOT quickly covered it with a white eco-friendly spray, but less than 24 hours later, the graffiti came back.

Nearest entrances to that location on the bike path include a residential way and over the pedestrian bridge from Gateway Mall.

Some residents believe the graffiti has some type of intent behind it. ODOT says the biggest problem they have now is finding another way to cover it.

Eugene Police told NewsSource 16 since other graffiti falls under the crime of Criminal Mischief, it would likely be the same in this case as well. Criminal Mischief varies from a misdemeanor to a felony charge depending on the circumstances. ODOT would first have to file a police report. For police, the biggest challenge would be locating suspect information in order to tie anyone to the crime.

Hippi - "This seems like the typical disrespect of the tea party in general. " You can't be serious!! Have you seen a park AFTER a Tea Party rally? Spotless! Have you seen a park after a lefty rally? Looks like the public dump.

Twaldo: You can name call all you want. You are no better then someone who anonymously spray paints a wall. You want to talk topics, we can. Either way, you still spelled Hippie wrong.

Public defamation is not supported by the Ron Paul movement in any way. It is property destruction. Ron Paul is the best shot for Oregon and the rest of the country. His stances to end the drug war and three active wars in the world, should resonate with all Oregonians. Most politicians write us off out here, but Ron Paul and his views show that we are not excluded in his eyes and he cares for individual liberties. Ron Paul 2012!!

Ron Paul would be the first to say, "don't do this". I met him a year ago, and he said this: "The older I get, the more convinced I am that war doesn't solve anything". Me: "Man, I hope I get to vote for you again". He smiles, and there's a glint in his eye. I voted for Obama (heck, I marched in the Inaugural), because he said he'd get us out of two wars. Instead, he's gotten us into a third, and he's eyeing up #'s 4 thru 6. I won't be voting for him this time. Ron Paul has earned my vote, President Obama has shown me he doesn't want it. Since there won';t be a Democrat primary, Oregonians should register Republican, and vote for either Ron Paul or Gary Johnson (pro-choice, fiscally sane, anti-war & empire, anti-drug war... check him out) in the Republican primary, then switch back to D, I, C, G, or L. Obama is VERY vulnerable, and it would suck if we got a Romney, Gingrich, Palin, Huckabee, or Bachman in position to take advantage.

hippi ssl....you are the reason Americans look stupid to so many people. I don't care who supports who, I don't care what party they are for, etc. etc. Why? BECAUSE I VOTE FOR THE BEST CANDIDATE POSSIBLE. Do research, don't be an idiot and vote "party line" or "for the black one cause he's black" or "for the guy who has won the most elections" or "who my parents support". If that is what matters when you vote (who supports someone), then you really are not educated enough to vote. Obama had racist supporters, McCain had racist supporters. So would you not vote for them? Think before you continue to reside in this country, please. You know who I vote for? Whoever knows what they are talking about and provides the best solutions to our nations problems, while abiding to the foundational constrictions of our government.

This seems like the typical disrespect of the tea party in general. I don't know how i will vote for in 2012 but it certainly will not be anyone the tea party supports

As a supporter of Ron Paul, I CONDEMN this despicable and disrespectful action. I apologize to the community living there. The actions of a few should not reflect on the man himself, as he insists that property rights be respected to the utmost degree. Whoever is doing it needs to KNOCK IT OFF!!
