Roseburg, Or (KMTR) Roseburg Police say they received several reports of two gunshots that were fired in the 1600 block of Fairmount street in Roseburg.

Witnesses in the area told Police they saw a male and female arguing along the side of the road. They spotted a pistol in the female's hand and during the argument, and say they watched the female fire the gun into the ground twice as she was yelling.

Police say after the pair were done arguing, the man left on foot walking down Cecil and the woman got into a dark colored passenger car that left west on Garden Valley.

Police say since it was dark at the time of the crime, neighbors couldn't provide a very specific suspect or vehicle description. At the scene Police did locate two fresh cigarette butts on the ground and a spent .32 auto casing about three feet away. Police are still investigating.

I'm glad no one was injured. Why must people carry around guns like this? Did they really need to fire a gun to make their point in the argument?
