Eugene (KMTR) - Eugene police are looking for witnesses who may have seen a drunk driver hit a bicyclist on Franklin Boulevard.

The accident happened on February 19th in front of the Market of Choice.

Police say 25 year old Eric Garcia was driving a maroon Pontiac Grand Am at around 10:30 that night, when he hit the cyclist.  The 44-year-old rider was in the bike lane at the time, and was taken to the hospital.  Garcia took off and was later arrested near Glenwood.

Police would like to speak with anyone who might have seen the accident.

They would also like to know what Garcia was doing between 6:00pm and 10:30pm that night.  Detectives believe he may have been drinking alcohol while attending a birthday party at the Jazz Station.
