EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Eugene police have released surveillance camera images of a man who they suspect tried to torch the Ta Ra Rin Restaurant late last month.
Smoke and flames were seen coming from behind the building on Oak Street about 2:45 AM, Wednesday, August 29th. The fire started in a trash bin and spread to the building. It damaged the exterior of the restaurant, but there was no fire or smoke damage inside.
Surveillance cameras show images of a man from two different angles walking around the building. He appears to be a white male adult with a thin build, collar-length hair, a beard and mustache, wearing a baseball cap and a light-colored zip-up sweater. The man was also wearing a dark-colored backpack.
Police ask anyone who has relevant information or recognizes the suspect to contact Detective Steve Williams at 541 682-2682.
