Eugene (KMTR) A Eugene City Council member is looking for another job. Pat Farr has announced his be for the newly-redrawn North Eugene seat on the Lane County Board of Commissioner.

That seat is now held by Rob Handy. Another city councilor, Mike Clark, is also running for the same seat.

Farr as been a member of the Oregon House of Representatives, a member of the Bethel School Board and was previously a Eugene city councilor from 1995 to 2003. He has also worked as Executive Director of FOOD for Lane County and was an executive at Jerry’s Home Improvement Center.

Farr says he wants to attract more jobs to Lane County and keep the area affordable for people who live here. In a written statement, he said, “I have more than thirty years' experience creating jobs in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors.”

This should be an easy victory over Handy, I only wish Farr or Clark were able to run against Sorenson. Then Handy and Sorenson can join the city and complete the clown circus. This is good news.
