Oregon settles Jeanette Maples wrongful death lawsuit for $1.5 million

The State of Oregon has settled a lawsuit filed by the estate of Jeanette Maples, the Eugene teenager who died at the hands of her mom and stepfather.

Agreed LArdman. The money should go to a fund that helps abused children or something like that and not to an absentee father.

Where were the plaintiffs when Jeanette was suffering in foster care? If you're not willing to take care of her when she's alive, then you don't deserve the money when she dies.
