CORVALLIS, Ore. (KMTR) -- Oregon State University’s Track & Field team finally has a home field. They spent the last several years practicing at the local high school or any other venue they could find.

Phase One of construction is almost complete on the White Track & Field Center. Head Coach Kelly Sullivan says current and former Beaver track athletes will be the first to see the new facilities all lit up at a special ceremony next week.

The track is ready for practice, but it will likely be another year or two before grandstands and other fan essentials are installed. Coach Sullivan hopes to host high school meets and youth camps and even bring some Pac-12 competition to Corvallis soon.
