SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (KMTR) –- We’ve heard it said many times: “If you don’t vote, don’t complain about the government”.

Those who are not yet registered to vote have very little time to get it done. The deadline to register in order to vote in the May 15 Oregon Primary Election is Tuesday, April 24. Any citizen who will be 18 or older on May 15 may register.

Completed registration forms must be submitted to county elections offices by 4:00 PM Tuesday. Registration can be done in person, by mail or online.

Registration by mail must be postmarked by April 24, 2012.

Online registration is available only for those who already have an Oregon Driver License, Learner's Permit or Oregon DMV Identification Card. The process can be completed at www.oregonvotes.org.
