Eugene (KMTR) – After years of planning, false starts and delays, new tenants are moving in to the newly-remodeled Centre Court building on West Broadway in downtown Eugene. They say they’re excited to be a part of revitalizing the area.

New tenants include Rabbit Bistro, currently located in the shopping center at 29th and Willamette. The restaurant will be on the bottom floor next to some still-vacant retail.

Moving in on the second floor are Eugene Monthly Magazine and CodeChops.

CodeChops is a modern co-working space for freelancers, according to Mark Davis, speaking for the business.

“Instead of renting an entire office, maybe you rent a desk,” said Davis. “It's a place where you can come and plug in your laptop, get your work done, work with other designers and collaborate with other developers.”

Pivot Architecture will call the third floor home. The firm is expanding and moving from its current location next door in the Washburne Building. Pivot partner Bill Sidder says the group was involved in the Centre Court design process from the beginning, allowing them to build their ideal work environment.

Pivot moves in on Friday and will be open for business on Monday.

Space is still available on the fourth and fifth floors of Centre Court.
