I commend the jury for a hard job. I suspect it was a good possibility that she committed the crime. But a good possibility is not reasonable doubt. People should not be convicted because we think they committed the crime but only when we believe that they committed the crime beyond a reasonable doubt. The state own doctor reported that it was more likely than not that she had a baby. More likely than not is not reasonable doubt. I would not want to be a prosecutor believing that a person is guilty but knowing that the evidence just doesn't raise to reasonable doubt. It would be hard not to want to prosecute a person you believe committed murder.

Okay, but she told her family she had a miscarriage, then told them she disposed of the body in the dumpster.....Is anyone else questioning this kind of behavior? She is at least partly to blame for the time and money spent on the trial, and on the hours spent searching for a body that was never found--Where is her culpability?

I think our district attorney needs to be let go- this trial was a HUGE waste of our tax payer monies-such a disgrace. Trying someone with not a speck of evidence? Thank goodness that juror from the first trial stuck to his guns and said NOT GUILTY!! Or justice system is truly scary. Do NOT TALK to the police without a lawyer ever! Invoke your 5th amendment always!

It's about time...This case never had any merit from the beginning, and this woman has spent the past year and half in jail, before finally being acquitted.
