Springfield (KMTR) - Mckenzie Willamette Medical Center is the first hospital in the state to use new technology that allows doctors to check on expectant moms from a distance.  With the click of a cell phone button doctors can now access important information about women in labor.

"Airstrip OB” allows a doctor to monitor fetal heart tracings and contraction patterns.  And they don't have to be at the hospital.  The wave form data can be sent to most smart phones and the new system keeps patient information secure and confidential.
