Monaco RV has issued a Notice of Plant Closing - 272 to be terminated over the next 6 months

Coburg (KMTR) Monaco RV will be ceasing production of motorized RV's permanently at its Coburg manufacturing plant.  While the company is not ceasing all operations at the facility, the company anticipates that about 272 employees will be terminated over the next six months.

The first terminations will occur in March 2012.

This information was provided to the Department of Community Colleges & Workforce Development.  Pursuant to the WARN program (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988), which requires employers to give official notice of pending mass layoff or plant closing.

Maybe if Oregon didn't tax the crap out of businesses...you know that whole Measure 66 and 67 thing is working out really well.

Do they think that's a good idea for the economy? Where are those employees are going to work? Oh yea, collect unemployment for two more years. Is the practice called "flooding the market" still illegal? Or do they like to get a good backlot of RV's stockpiled so they can reap the profits later on? Seems they do that a lot. jmo.
